Dr. A.A. Adeyemi was born at Ikire, Irewole Local Government of Osun State in Nigeria on 2nd March, 1980. He attended Omega International College, Ikire. Adeyemi was admitted to study Forest Resources Management at the Prestigious University of Ibadan, and graduated with a First Class Honours in 2008. He subsequently had his MSc Degree in Forest Biometrics and Remote Sensing with a Distinction under a collaborative arrangement between University of Ibadan and George-August University, Gottingen-Germany, finishing with a record Weighted Average Score of 74.3%. He holds a PhD in Forest Resources Management from University of Ibadan, effective March 11th 2016.

He was appointed Lecturer I in the Department of Forest Resources Management, University of Ilorin in August, 2017. He has since then, served the university as Departmental SIWES Coordinator, and Level Adviser (300L and 400L).

Dr. Adeyemi joined the services of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri in February 2014 as Assistant Lecturer. As Lecturer II, he served the university in various capacities, as Departmental Committees’ Chair and Member, Level Adviser as well as School Committee Member.

Dr Adeyemi has attended several short sources and trainings outside Nigeria, including:

  1. Certificate Course in Geomatics at the United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in             Africa, University of Yaoundé I, Yaoundé, Cameroon in July 2017.
  2. Certificate Course in Google Mapping and Remote Sensing at the Google Headquarters, Mountain View, California, United States in June 2017.

Dr. Adeyemi is the Leading National Expert for High Conservation Value Assessment, HCV (since 2016). He has over 34 publications to his credit, including journal articles, conference papers, technical reports and contributions in book.
