Dr. Ahamefule Henry Emeka was born in Portharcourt, Nigeria; an indigene of Amaimo in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria. He attended Mann’s Street Primary School in Owerri, and Central Primary School in Uburu, Ohaozara all in the then Imo State from 1980 to 1986. His secondary education was in Government College Okposi, Ohaozara and Sacred Heart College Aba all in the then Imo State from 1986 to 1992. In 1994 he secured admission to study Soil Science in the University of Calabar, Cross Rivers State after which in 2004 he proceeded to the University of Nigeria Nsukka where he obtained an M.Sc. degreein Soil Physics and Conservation in 2006. He obtained a Ph.D. in 2013 from University of Nigeria in Soil Physicsand Conservation. He has been an academic staff of the University of Ilorin since 2013 with over twenty three publication in both local and international journals. His research is currently focused on restoration of soils degraded by tillage operations, petroleum exploration and climate change impact. He is happily married to a woman and blessed with children.
