Dr. (Mrs) Fabiyi, Oluwatoyin Adenike, is a lecturer in the Department of Crop Protection. She obtained her master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), International Law and Diplomacy (MILD) and Crop Protection (MSc). She bagged a Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Crop Protection with focus on Nematology/Toxicology. Her responsibilities include teaching, research and community service. She is a member of learned professional societies such as the Japanese Nematological Society (JNS), European Society of Nematology (ESN), Organisation of Nematologist of Tropical America (ONTA), Nigerian Society of Nematologists (NISON) and Material Science Society of Nigeria. Her area of research includes (i) Molecular Identification of Plant Parasitic Nematodes, (ii) Survey of Plant Parasitic Nematodes, (iii) Use of Organic Amendments in the Management of Plant Parasitic Nematodes, (iv) Investigation of Plant bio-active Principles and agro-nano materials for the control of Nematodes (v) Diagnosis of Nematode Pests of Arable Crops, (vi) Pesticide Residue Analysis in Crops, Vegetables, Fruits and Soil (vii) Evaluation of Nematode Bio-diversity and Soil Health. She is a member of the research team that received a TWAS research grant worth US$58,000 for: Development, Characterization and Evaluation of Natural Skin and Hair Care Products from Nigerian Underutilised Tropical Seeds for Africans. Recently, she won the 1st Individual Research Prize in Agriculture at the 6th Nigerian National University Research and Development Exhibition Fair (NURESDEF) and received award of best presenter at some of the International and National conferences she attended. She has to her credit over twenty (20) publications in highly reputed International and National Journals. She is an Assistant Director at the University of Ilorin Renewable Energy Centre (UREC). She is married with children.
