Dr. Lateef Lawal ADEFALU

Lateef Lawal Adefalu attended Okelele Secondary School Ilorin, Kwara State between 1980 and 1985 where he obtained WAEC/GCE. He had his University education all at University of Ilorin where he was awarded B.Agric., M.Sc. (Agricutural Extension) and Ph.D. (Agricultural Extension) in 1994, 2004 and 2012 respectively. He joined the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development in 2008 as an Assistant Lecturer and rose through the rank to the position of Senior Lecturer in 2017. He teaches and supervises at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and his involvement in community service is unprecedented. He had attended conferences and workshops at local, national and international levels. Dr. Adefalu has his academic publications in reputable local, national and international journal outlets. He is a member of Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON), International Research and Developemnt Network of Children and Youth in Agriculture Programme in Nigeria (CYIAP) and Stored Agricultural Commodities Initiatives (SACI). Dr. Adefalu is currently the coordinator of Sasakawa Africa Fund for Extension Education (SAFE) at University of Ilorin.
His research interest is rooted in sustainability based issues such Agro-forestry Extension, food processing and rural development.
