Brief staff profile
Dr Toyin B. Ajibade, a Lecuturer II in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management, holds a Ph.D in Agricultural Economics. She has about eight years cognate banking experience spanning over a few commercial banks in Nigeria before further venturing into the academia. An IITA research fellow, her doctoral research was on Price Discovery and Volatility of Selected Food Crop Markets in Nigeria. Currently, her research interests include Welfare and Development Economics, Climate change, Health Economics and Food Security Social protection/Social safety nets and Graduation. With an evolving agricultural revolution in view, Dr. Toyin’s recent drive is fuelled by the passion to see agriculture in all its forms metamorphose to a state of pride for the nation and all who practice it. She is a member of many professional bodies including: Agricultural Policy Research Network, The Econometric Society, Africa Farm Management Association, Agricultural and Applied Economics Association, Agricultural Society of Nigeria, International Society of Tropical Root Crops, Nigeria Association of Agricultural Economics to mention a few. When not buried in teaching and research works, Toyin loves to facilitate farmers and agricultural trainings, explore the world, write poems, cook and workout. She loves good music.
