Folusho Bankole (Mrs)

Folusho Bankole (Mrs) was born in Lagos, Nigeria. She attended the Nigerian Navy Secondary school Ojo, Apapa. She graduated from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria with her first degree in Agricultural Science (Crop production) and the second degree in Agronomy (Plant Breeding). She joined the University of Ilorin as a Lecturer in 2011 and hereafter was granted a staff development award to pursue a Ph.D degree. In 2013 she also got a Ph.D scholarship at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, (IITA) Ibadan under the Drought Tolerant Maize for Africa project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which she completed in 2017. Her research focuses on the use of molecular marker assisted recurrent selection in the development of drought tolerant maize inbred lines
