Objectives
The objectives of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Ilorin are as follows:
- Enhance our pedagogical approaches to ensure a comprehensive understanding of agricultural systems, biodiversity, and sustainable practices.
- Strengthen the integration of interdisciplinary perspectives into our curriculum, encouraging students to explore connections between agriculture, ecology, economics, and social sciences.
- Foster a culture of research excellence by promoting faculty and student engagement in innovative agricultural research, community-based projects, and partnerships with industry and government.
- Cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to thrive academically and personally.
- Forge partnerships and collaborations with local farmers, agricultural organizations, and international institutions to enhance student learning, research opportunities, and agricultural development initiatives.
